Dead Files is a mystery game where you ask a narrator yes/no questions to uncover true stories. This policy explains what information the app handles and why. We keep the app privacy-first: you play without creating an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or any other identifying detail.
Dead Files is operated by SALAMBAS SOLUTIONS LTDA ("we", "us"), a company registered in Brazil, which is responsible for the data described in this policy.
Av. Paulista, 771, 15º andar, conj. 15, sala 354, Bela Vista, São Paulo – SP, 01311-100, Brazil
If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at salazarfelipe.fs@gmail.com. This address is also the contact of our data protection officer (encarregado) under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD).
If you choose to ask questions by voice, speech recognition runs on your device. The app receives only the transcribed text; your audio is not recorded, stored, or sent to our servers. You can deny or revoke the microphone permission at any time in your device settings and keep playing by typing.
We use a small number of providers to run the app. They process data only on our behalf:
These providers may process data on servers in the United States and other countries.
Your anonymous progress is kept so you can continue playing. Because the app has no sign-in, your data lives with the anonymous ID created on your device. You can ask us to delete the data associated with your ID at any time by emailing salazarfelipe.fs@gmail.com; deleting the app also ends the creation of new data.
You can ask Dead Files, made by SALAMBAS SOLUTIONS LTDA, to delete the data linked to your anonymous ID:
What we delete: your game progress (cases opened, facts found, clues used), the questions you asked and the narrator's verdicts, your daily question count, the subscription status we store for your ID, and the anonymous ID itself.
What is kept: records of a subscription purchase are held by Apple or Google and by RevenueCat, which they keep under their own policies and the tax and accounting rules they must follow. We cannot delete those, but we no longer link them to any game data. Deleting the app removes the anonymous ID from your device, after which new data can no longer be linked to your old progress.
Depending on where you live, including under Brazil's LGPD, you may have the right to confirm whether we hold data about you, to access, correct, or delete it, and to object to how it is used. To make a request, email us at the address above; because the app has no sign-in, we may ask for details that let us find the anonymous ID on your device.
Dead Files is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
We use industry-standard measures to protect the limited data we handle, including encrypted connections and access controls on our backend. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this address.
